Article Submission Guidelines

Article Types

The Economic Institute accepts the following types of articles for publication:

  • Analytical Commentary — Short-form analysis of current economic events, policy decisions, or market developments. Typically 2,000-3,500 words.
  • Comparative Analysis — Cross-country or cross-regional analysis examining economic policies, indicators, or institutional frameworks. Typically 3,500-5,000 words.
  • Economic Review — Comprehensive review of economic conditions in a specific sector, country, or region. Typically 4,000-6,000 words.
  • Policy Analysis — In-depth examination of specific economic policies, their design, implementation, and outcomes. Typically 3,000-5,000 words.
  • Sector Study — Focused analysis of a particular economic sector, including market structure, trends, and outlook. Typically 3,500-5,000 words.

Formatting Requirements

  • Manuscripts should be submitted in PDF or DOCX format
  • Use 12pt serif font (Times New Roman or similar) with 1.5 line spacing
  • Include an abstract of 150-250 words
  • Provide 4-6 keywords
  • All figures and tables should be clearly labeled and referenced in text
  • Citations should follow APA 7th edition format

Review Process

All article submissions undergo a two-stage review process:

  1. Editorial Review — The editorial team assesses the submission for scope, relevance, and quality within 1-2 weeks.
  2. Peer Review — Qualified submissions are sent to two independent reviewers for evaluation. This stage typically takes 3-4 weeks.

Authors will receive one of the following decisions: Accept, Accept with Minor Revisions, Revise and Resubmit, or Decline.


Style Guidelines

  • Write in clear, accessible language suitable for an informed but non-specialist audience
  • Avoid jargon; define technical terms on first use
  • Use active voice where possible
  • All data claims must be sourced and verifiable
  • Disclose any potential conflicts of interest
