Our Commitment
The Economic Institute is committed to ensuring digital accessibility for people of all abilities. We are continually improving the user experience for everyone and applying the relevant accessibility standards.
Standards
We aim to conform to the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) 2.1 at Level AA. These guidelines explain how to make web content more accessible to people with disabilities, including visual, auditory, physical, speech, cognitive, language, learning, and neurological disabilities.
Measures Taken
- Semantic HTML structure with proper heading hierarchy.
- Sufficient colour contrast ratios for text and interactive elements.
- Keyboard navigation support across all interactive components.
- Focus indicators on all interactive elements.
- Alternative text for images and non-text content.
- Responsive design that adapts to different screen sizes and zoom levels.
Known Limitations
While we strive for comprehensive accessibility, some content may not yet be fully accessible. In particular, some data visualizations and interactive charts may have limited screen reader support. We are actively working to address these gaps.
