Editorial Independence

The Economic Institute maintains full editorial independence in all published analysis and research. Editorial decisions are made solely by the editorial team based on analytical merit, relevance, and methodological rigour.

No external party, including institutional funders, corporate partners, or advisory board members, exercises influence over editorial content, research conclusions, or the selection of topics for analysis.

Standards of Analysis

All analysis published by the Institute adheres to the following standards:

  • Evidence-based reasoning grounded in established economic theory and empirical data
  • Transparent methodology with clear identification of data sources and analytical assumptions
  • Acknowledgement of uncertainty, limitations, and alternative interpretations
  • Distinction between factual reporting, analysis, and opinion or speculation

Corrections Policy

When errors of fact or methodology are identified in published work, corrections are issued promptly. Corrections are appended to the original publication with clear identification of what was changed and why. Substantive corrections are communicated to readers who may have been affected by the original error.
