University Chapters
TEI University Chapters are student-led organizations at academic institutions worldwide. They serve as focal points for economic discussion, learning, and professional development on campus.
Ambassador Role
Each university chapter is led by a TEI Ambassador — a motivated student who serves as the primary liaison between their institution and The Economic Institute. The Ambassador appointment is for a 2-year term, renewable once.
Responsibilities
- —Establish and manage the university chapter
- —Organize at least 2 events per semester (workshops, lectures, discussions)
- —Recruit and onboard chapter members
- —Coordinate with TEI staff and other ambassadors
- —Submit brief quarterly activity reports
Eligibility
- —Currently enrolled undergraduate, graduate, or PhD student
- —At least 2 semesters remaining at the institution
- —Demonstrated interest in economics (coursework, research, or extracurriculars)
- —No existing TEI chapter at the institution

Chapter Members
Any student at an institution with an active TEI chapter can join as a member. Membership is free and open to students of all academic backgrounds.

Current Chapters
We are currently accepting applications for the inaugural cohort of TEI University Ambassadors. A directory of active chapters will be published once the first chapters are established.
